Ben Root has been seeing life through a camera lens for years. He feels the discipline of viewing a scene selectively and composing an image helps the viewer--whether looking through a camera lens or seeing an image produced later--to experience the scene with a greater sense of presence. As Ben put it, "When I have my cameras, I see life manifested more clearly, and I hold the images more deeply. I find the experience enriched. I hope  you will enjoy what caught my eye."

Bennett Root Photography is a professional photography service located in the Pasadena, CA area. In addition to many magazine articles and books Ben has produced from his travels, clients have commissioned identity pieces, marketing materials, brochures, coffee table and reference books.

Root is a member of the American Society of Media Photographers and the North American Travel Journalists Association.
