Taliesin West began as Frank Lloyd Wrights winter residence.  It is where he developed his ideas of organic architecture. Today it serves as the headquarters of the Frank Lloyd Wright School of Architecture and the ;location of his Foundation. We spent a few hours on the grounds and were delighted--but hardly surprised--to see how the structures integrated with the site and the land surrounding it. The lines and forms of Robbie House that excited me years ago were the underpinnings of the design at Taliesin West and they still held the magic for me.
